East Grinstead Choral Society is a choir of non-auditioned singers who love coming together to make music and learn new skills. Founded nearly 70 years ago, EGCS has been inspiring people in the community to sing for many generations. We love performing all types of music, from Handel to Hammerstein.

The Glass Hearts are a female fronted covers band from Sussex. We play a hard hitting (yet varied) set of music including hits from the 1980’s 90’s & 00’s.

Formed in 2016, The Glass Hearts have performed at many various venues in the area such as Pub, Clubs and outdoor events. The members of the band have been playing live for over 20 years and also do regular session work for a local record company.

The Band was founded in 1974 from the original Town Band. We are a friendly and active community based concert wind band attracting a diverse membership of all ages and experiences throughout East Grinstead area and beyond. We are proud to represent the town of East Grinstead performing regularly throughout the South East at concert halls, bandstands, fetes and town squares. We are honoured to have agreement that the East Grinstead Town Mayor is our President, this person changing every year thus offering new ideas and support to our activities in the town.

The East Court Mansion and the Meridian Hall form part of the East Court Estate, which is set in parkland conveniently nestled in the serene Countryside of Sussex with sweeping views overlooking Ashdown Forest in the distance.

The Greenwich Meridian runs through historic East Grinstead, the hub for four counties, for this is the only place where East Sussex and West Sussex meets Surrey and Kent.

The Meridian Line that separates East from West is celebrated at East Court through the award winning formal gardens, providing an ideal backdrop for your perfect photographs.
