Armed Forced Day

RAF Museum, Graham Park Way, London, NW9 5LL

Enjoy a family festival day of music, activities, talks, tours and storytelling!

We will be celebrating with a star line up of music, featuring the Jive Aces, a six-piece high energy, jive and swing band, the North London Military Wives Choir and the RAF Halton Voluntary Band.

Entertainment and activities will also include:

100 years of uniform! – here the whole family will be able to dress in uniform worn throughout the last 100 year and take a souvenir photo Craft Activities – kids (and maybe even adults too!) can get inventive and get crafty with a range of arty activities Talks & Tours – delve into history and learn more about the RAF Storytelling – kids can be inspired by fun and engaging stories It promises to be a day for the whole family to enjoy.

Vintage for Victory

Whitchurch Library Gardens, Park Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff

Inspired by the Romance and Glamour of Vintage Fashion & Nostalgia we are delighted to announce the return of the Vintage For Victory weekend to The Library Gardens in Whitchurch Village, a leafy suburb of Cardiff

Set in the past it celebrates all that was great from the 1940s 50s & 60s

Drift back in time to those halcyon days and soak up the unique atmosphere in the period costume of your chosen era It is an opportunity to dress up to the nines in timeless style, amongst a crowd of people doing the same.

10% of ticket sales will be donated to Cancer Research Wales. They will be there with their trailer and lots of vintage goodies, so please come and say hello!

Coleford Festival

Clock Tower Stage, Town Centre, Coleford, Gloucestershire

If you are not familiar with the festival, it’s the Forest of Dean’s best kept secret – a fantastic free outdoor festival in Coleford town centre held every summer featuring an eclectic mix of music, art, culture & community….everything from Jazz, indie, rock, ska, rockabilly, folk, blues & much more.

The festival consists of a main stage featuring the best of local bands with national headliners to finish, roots stage featuring the best of jazz, blues, country ..St Johns Street stage featuring new bands from the area, acoustic area, lots of children’s entertainment & workshops, street food, stalls & local produce.

The Festival prides itself on being extremely friendly, relaxed and an opportunity for families and all generations of people to come together and enjoy themselves.

It is organised by a not for profit group in partnership with Coleford Town Council and with the help of many passionate unpaid volunteers. It is for the people of Coleford & the surrounding areas but attracting visitors from all over, helping to raise the profile of the area.

Wizzafest

The Jive Aces head to the Wizzafest for the first time.

This year, Wizzafest returns to Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club!

Gates open 8am Friday 27th July 2018 and we have a packed a varied line up starting 8pm Friday night through to 7pm on Sunday 29th July – the line up includes live music, music and dance workshops, storytelling, interactive stalls and much much more! Weekend Camping tickets available online from 1st February 2018, get your early bird tickets and save some cash!

Wizzafest has a fantastic following and always has a unique community spirit and we all work together and strive to simply make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support we hope to raise much needed funds throughout the weekend. Summertime Swing returns for a 14th year! Joining us this year we have rock n roll royalty, Miss Gina Haley, daughter of the legendary Bill Haley and a fantastic R&B singer in her own right; Canada's first lady of vintage jazz, Alex Pangman; The UK's newest vintage duo, The Duettes; The all singing, all dancing, all tapping, all gorgeous The Satin Dollz and finally the energetic rock n roll guitar of Lucky Will from France.

Plus DJs Swing Out Simon and Eight-Beat Mac as well as classic cars, BBQ, raffle and all proceeds to the The Not Forgotten Association and other local charities.
